I made this three piece suit during the first lock down in Spring 2020. It was to protect me on a physical level - masks were rare and contested. The skirt could easily be used to open doors without touching the handle with my bare hand. Beyond the physical I conceived it as my soft armor that brightens my days on lonely early morning walks and throughout the days of self inflicted isolation when not even Marlene was with me.
